suffering is neither just nor unjust
as it is only another facet of this reality
it is as real to all of us
as our hunger and thirst
it challenges our love
brings us to the level of human
stares us in the face wanting
brings us to our knees
it provokes the real
offends the façade
destroys the self
or the self destroys itself
it begs for hope
in the face of despair
blind to what we all see
what is the true need?
what is fair
if we all deserve what we don’t receive?
what is gained
if we had nothing and gave it all away?

my fortune cookie today said: “You find beauty in ordinary things. Do no(sic) lose this ability.”
beauty is all around
in the lost and in the found
the suffering are a beacon of beauty
in pain
the extraordinary is exposed
revealing great beauty
or great ugliness
it is the ordinary that carry the greatest gems

So much confusion surrounds the truth. The claim is that all is true, but if all is true then none is true for truth can not be a lie. Lies exist all around us and within us. Lies exist and that is the truth. Lies and deception muddy the waters of thought and reason.
It goes beyond that. Truth is beyond us. We can not define truth like we can not alter the physical laws that define the nature of our reality. Even our understanding is ultimately bound by our perceptions.
It is easy to accept, but difficult to choose.
The truth demands acknowledgment of untruth.

I have had a blog for years. Today I cleaned out those years of posts and left one. “When you find your true heart, you find your true art.” That is where I feel I am. My book is out. At least the first version of it. Many things are changing in my life. Most of them difficult, but ultimately good. I will post. I don’t know who will read. I suppose it doesn’t matter. This is a public window.
